“Live a balanced life — learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.” - Robert Fulghum
Another year around the sun. I rode the sun waves and what a ride it was 🌞
Thank you for your kind birthday texts and IG messages. Messages full of love, gratitude, and warm wishes that motivate me in so many ways.
💫 Reflecting back at my year makes me feel so grateful for my life. I want to thank my fiancé, family, and friends for their love and support. I feel extremely grateful for having so many kind and beautiful people in my life that I continuously learn from.
💫 I’ll be honest, the struggle was real this past year. Even though my life was in order, I still went through the mental and emotional turbulence of 12 months of cancer related treatments my mom had to go through. We were still dealing with Covid uncertainties and my new work responsibilities were piling up. I don’t know how I managed it all without any guidance. It felt lonely at times because I wanted to continue growing in my career so I couldn’t admit that I was exhausted. The weeks left me little to no room for any strenuous workouts, blogging, or side projects. Let’s not get started on the stressful eating. Looking back at it all I could have given myself more grace and room for rest, but I’ve learned. I made it a priority to pick myself back up and build up my support system. Towards the end of the year, I started doing therapy, utilized work life balance coaching, got an engineering mentor, and took time off to recharge.
💫I am riding into the new year feeling stronger and lighter. 2022 will be the year where I create more balance in my life by building a sustainable system that allows me to pace myself. It will be the year where I continue breaking free from my childhood traumas. More excitingly, it will be a time to celebrate the relationship Nate and I have cultivated over the last decade as we get ready for our marriage life.
💫My mom told me that what kept her going was the unconditional support she received from her daughters. I can relate. So I will love and support the people around me. In the hopes that my love and support will motivate them to do the same for the people around them.
💫I am a vibrational being living in this vibrational universe. My mission is to inspire others to be kind, happy, and to make a positive impact in this world.
