Tomorrowland 2017: An Amicorum Spectaculum note

Who would have thought that my second time at Tomorrowland would be even more memorable! For me, Tomorrowland is so much more than a music festival. It is a way of showing the world that we can be united and that love is stronger than anything else.
My Tomorrowland experiences and memories are my motivation to be a kinder person every day.
What is Amicorum Spectaculum?
Tomorrowland is one of the biggest dance music festivals in the world. We traveled from all around the world and waited all year long just to be united in Boom, Belgium.
Every year, the theme of the festival changes. This year it was “Amicorum Spectaculum”. Try picturing fireworks, amazing food from all over the world, uplifting music, circus performers dancing in the air above Mainstage, thousands of flags, bubbles, smiles, laughter, sunshine (some rain), art, the beautiful crowd, and Belgium fries! Tomorrowland does an amazing job at making every thing special and memorable. To give you an idea of how memorable, we received daily newspapers of what happened the day before and what to expect that day! Oh and the toilets were always clean and flushable! That is rare for many music festivals.
My favorite part of Tomorrowland was when everyone in the crowd lifted and waived their flags! The DJs were honored to be part of this moment because they too have been waiting for this moment all year and still feel as excited as if it were their first time performing. Everybody was proud of where they came from and were there to represent their country. Over 200 countries that is!. During these 3 days, we united with friends and strangers from all corners of the world to show that we are one.
I am so grateful for the extra security this year given the recent tragic events in Belgium and the rest of the world.
People of Tomorrow
What can I say about the people at Tomorrowland? These are the most friendly, kind, and down to earth people I will ever meet in my life. During the three days, none of the material things back at home mattered. We didn’t worry about work or family. It’s not that we wanted to forget this, it’s just that we were living in the moment and celebrating life.
Amicorum Spectaculum you will forever be in our hearts. For the ones that were able to experience this once in a lifetime show, go out there and share the message to the world. Live Today, Love Tomorrow, Unite Forever ❤
Show that this world is a beautiful place full of kind strangers. Share the kindness, laughter, [and new dance moves] we experienced into our lives.
For the ones that haven’t been to Tomorrowland yet: Go! It doesn’t matter how old you are. The people of tomorrow welcome everyone.
